Rovers aiming for more momentum

Albion Rovers look to add to their five-game unbeaten run by seeing off bottom-of-the-table Queen's Park.

The Coatbridge side are missing the injured Peter Innes (knee) and Pat Walker (ankle) and manager James Ward is wary of the Spiders.

"Their players will feel that they have a point to prove after their head coach Gardner Speirs left last weekend," he said.

"They are in a disappointing position, however, we took a point in a game that we did not fully deserve so they are a useful side.

"We will have to play as well as we have in any of our recent games to take anything."

The Hampden side parted company with Speirs last Saturday with assistant managers Bobby Dickson and Alan Logan taking temporary charge. Club captain Tony Quinn and committee member Richard Sinclair are also involved in coaching duties.

Quinn looks set to shake off a calf injury to play, while Sean Burns is also expected to return after a knock.

However, David Anderson misses out due to family commitments.

Sinclair said: "We will look to move the club forward after a disappointing week in a difficult season.

"We lost a lot of players in the summer and now the head coach so we need to dust ourselves down and start again against Albion Rovers."
