Last-gasp Dunlop downs Albion

Michael Dunlop snatched a winner in the second minute of injury time for Brechin as they beat nine-man Albion 2-1.

The hosts took the lead in just the eighth minute when James Gilmartin curled a left-footed free-kick in from 20 yards out.

But Albion found themselves down to 10 men, with goalkeeper Christopher Fahey seeing red after 28 minutes for a professional foul on Paul McManus inside the penalty area.

McManus picked himself up to place the penalty into the bottom corner for the equaliser.

City were denied all three points by a last-gasp goal against Dumbarton last week but they came away with a win here when Dunlop rose to meet Garry Brady's corner and plant a header into the roof of the net.

It got worse for Albion moments later when Ryan McStay was given his marching orders for foul and abusive language.
