Albion 3-1 Brechin- Match Report

Brave Albion rewarded

Albion kept their hopes of staying in the Second Division alive with a 3-1 win over 10-man Brechin.

The visitors had a good opportunity to take the lead in the eighth minute when Ryan Ferguson tried his luck from the edge of the area and hit the post.

Albion then struck the woodwork themselves 11 minutes later when Ciaran Donnelly struck the bar with his effort from range.

Gerard McLauchlan hit the post again for Albion before Kevin Green put them in front after 28 minutes when he bundled in from close range.

The league's basement club went 2-0 up in the 65th minute when Christopher Dallas found the bottom corner of the net from the edge of the area.

The visitors hit back in the 84th minute when Donnelly fouled Ferguson in the area and Alan Trouten scored from the spot to make it 2-1.

But Albion made it 3-1 at the death when Michael Andrews saw red for bringing down Ryan Tiffeny in the area and David Crawford scored from the spot.
