There were two matches in Scotland today that involved teams with 100 per cent records in the league. Both teams involved a side with Rangers in the name, but both had different options.

Glasgow Rangers were defeated, allowing Hearts to maintain their unbeaten record. Berwick Rangers also successfully defended their unbeaten record which keeps them top of the Scottish third division.

It was not until the 41st minute of the match before the league leaders could have any impact on the game.

Rovers seemed to back off and allow Berwick to camp around the goal. Robbie Arthur put the ball through to an unmarked Chris McGroaty, and he coolly slotted the ball past Jamie Ewings in the Rovers goal.

In took until the 84th minute before anything else of note happened in the match. In an Albion Rovers attack, a cross from Andrew Selkirk found Ian Chisholm unmarked eight yards from goal but he sliced his volley wide when he should have scored.

Berwick counter attacked and 20 seconds later they had scored a second goal. Man-of- the-match Gareth Hutchison picked up a loose ball 25 yards from goal and blasted an unstoppable shot into the net to get Berwick all three points.
