It was a comfortable and deserved victory for Cowdenbeath as they were the dominant force from the start.

As early as the first minute the visitors showed notice of their intentions when Mark McEwee's header went just wide. Ten minutes later they went in front when Marc McKenzie found Gary Fusco in the box and he volleyed home from close range.

Visiting keeper Andy Carlin made a fine save to keep out an effort from Jered Stirling.

In the 26th minute Liam Buchanan stroked the ball under the on-rushing keeper to double his side's lead after poor defending.

Carlin make a terrific save at the start of the second half to keep out a Lee Wilson shot.

Cowdenbeath scored a wonderful goal in the 77th mininute. Darren Gribben appeared to be going nowhere before unleashing a terrific 30-yard shot minto the net.

With 10 minutes remaining, Albion's Wayne Gordon was fouled in the box and Lee Wilson fired home the resulting spot-kick.

Three minutes later Wilson was unlucky to see his header hit the bar.

Just to rub salt in the wounds, Cowdenbeath's John-Paul Kelly managed to scramble the ball home after being set up by Buchanan.
