Queens Park took all three points against Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill Stadium in what was very much a game of two halves.

The visitors put a lot of pressure on the Albion with Mark Ferry, M hitting a long-range shot against the bar before Paul Harvey also struck the woodwork direct from a corner.

Queens continued to apply the pressure throughout the half but lacked the finishing touch in front of goal.

Then a Daniel Ferry, D cross found its way to the back post where Albion left-back Sean McNulty turned the ball into his own net in the 27th minute.

Then in the 36th minute an Alan Trouten ball across the goalmouth was blasted into the roof of his own net by Albion right-back Neil Wallace.

Albion never looked threatening throughout the entire first half, their only chance coming from a long-range drive from Scott Friel.

Following an early scare in the second half when Ferry should have scored, Albion had all the pressure.

Albion set up an exciting last 20 minutes when the ball was headed on by subsitute Garry Fleming for Ricky Patrick to lob the advancing David Crawford in the Queens goal to reduce the deficit.

The home side went flat out for the equaliser in the dying stages with Jered Stirling and Andrew Selkirk going close, but the visitors managed to hold on for the win.
