East Stirling took their first away point since January 2003 - and also their first points of the season thanks to a dramatic draw against Albion Rovers.

The Shire started brightly when a Scott Livingston header skimmed the post following a David Harvey cross.

However, it was Albion who took the lead after 13 minutes when a curling Jered Stirling free-kick was missed by everyone and bounced into the roof of the net.

Rovers' lead lasted only a matter of seconds as Ross Donaldson played an inviting ball across the face of the goal for Derek Ure to turn home.

Three minutes later Shire took the lead when Joseph Robertson latched on to a Harvey cross at the back post to fire home.

Stirling then got his second and Rovers' equaliser 10 minutes later when his shot from 30 yards took a wicked deflection to wrong- foot Ross Gilpin in the Shire goal.

On the half hour mark East Stirling took the lead for the second time when Scott Livingston got to the byline and crossed for Carl Thywisson to tap home.

A dramatic first half ended all square when Paul McManus pounced on a Gilpin mistake following a Stirling free kick to fire Rovers a second equaliser.

In the second half Rovers came out all fired up after a few changes and choice words by boss Kevin McAllister. It almost took effect as Rovers had numerous chances throughout the half to take all three points.

However, it would have been harsh on East Stirling as they battled hard despite Rovers' bombardment of their goal to win their first point.
