Albion chalked up their first back-to-back win of the season to beat East Fife

The Fifers threatened after six minutes, but Greig McDonald's looping header from Gavin Beith's cross dropped just over the crossbar.

But one minute later Rovers opened the scoring when Stephen Reid drove home a low shot from the edge of the box after East Fife keeper Scott Morrison had fluffed a clearance straight into his path.

Albion almost doubled their lead moments later when Reid spun in the box, but his low shot struck the inside of the post before being cleared to safety.

East Fife nearly levelled in the 21st minute, but Joe Savage's header was kicked off the line by Tommy Lennox.

Rovers extended their lead in the 40th minute when 18-year-old Andy Sim scored one of the best individual goals the third division will see all season.

The little winger collected the ball wide on the right before leaving a trail of defenders in his wake and shooting low into the far corner of the net.

Savage should have pulled one back for the Fifers after 52 minutes, but he shot just wide after finding himself clean through on goal.

Reid hit number three for Rovers with a quite superb lob from the angle of the box.

East Fife pulled one back after 71 minutes when ex-Rover John Bradford forced home a Beith corner at the far post, but Rovers held on for a deserved victory.
